Leading hotel franchisor Choice Hotels Asia-Pac in conjunction with Choice Hotels Japan has welcomed 22 new properties under the group’s flagship Comfort brand.
The new additions, signed under a management agreement with Hoshino Resorts REIT, extends Choice Hotels Japan’s portfolio to 96 in key destinations. During their two-decades of collaboration with Choice Hotels, Choice Hotels Japan has made significant investment to establish their mid-scale dominance in the booming Japanese accommodation landscape.
“This agreement is a significant step forward for Choice Hotels Japan in an extremely competitive market,” said Choice Hotels Asia-Pac’s CEO Trent Fraser.

With domestic and inbound demand at all-time highs, President & Director of Choice Hotels Japan Takeya Muraki is pleased to extend the group’s presence in key locations for business and leisure guests.

Choice Hotel Japan’s extensive portfolio covers all major cities in the country and boasts the first Ascend Hotel Collection property in Asia, Hotel Around TAKAYAMA, launched in August last year. Additionally, existing property Comfort Hotel Nagoya Meieki Minami received the prestigious Choice Hotels International’s Best of Choice Award at the group’s Annual Convention in Las Vegas in April.
